Small tools for real problems.
The work behind them, in
public.
I build small tools around everyday friction. Start with something useful. See if people use it. Then decide what comes next.

and what is still taking shape.

02 / THE LAB, IN PUBLIC
A record of the work.
Small experiments still deserve
an honest record.

What counts, what doesn’t, and what’s missing
Data not yet available means there is no verified figure for the stated period. It does not mean zero. Not applicable means the product has no paid offer in this version.
- Use
- Completed study sessions in OpenTests; reports from users’ own Jira exports in StepBudget. These are actions, not unique people. Product-specific sources and exclusions appear below.
- Purchases
- Successfully paid orders completed during the period, including orders later refunded. Excludes test, failed and cancelled payments. One person may make several purchases.
- Revenue · EUR
- Customer payments received during the period, excluding tax, minus refunds recorded in that period. Before payment fees and operating costs. This is not profit. One-off generation payments are not monthly recurring revenue (MRR).
- Coverage and dates
- The period is fixed, not a rolling “this month” counter. A source and verification date accompany every published number. Partial or observed samples are labelled; missing projects are never silently counted as zero.
Updates are entered after checking an aggregate report or a documented observation. This page has no live analytics connection and does not collect study material, Jira exports or payment details.
What each project status means
- In development
- Being built or prepared locally. No public product is implied.
- Testing
- A real validation test is underway. Results are still being assessed.
- Published
- A working version is publicly accessible. This does not mean demand or commercial success has been validated.
- Closed
- The experiment has been explicitly ended. Its notes can stay in the ledger.
03 / HOW I WORK
Enough to help.
Small enough
to finish.
deBarrosLabs is my personal software lab. I want useful experiments to earn their way into independent products.
-
01 / START CLOSE TO THE PROBLEM
Find the actual friction.
Understand who runs into it and what they do today. A neat idea alone isn’t enough.
-
02 / KEEP THE SCOPE SMALL
Build the minimum useful thing.
Make one job easier. Add complexity when the product actually needs it.
-
03 / LET THE EVIDENCE IN
Continue, change, or stop.
Look at real use and feedback. Keep what helps. Be willing to close what doesn’t.
04 / SAY HELLO
